Apple TV is the best-behaved streaming box in the house and the most restrictive to set up: tvOS has no free Xtream player worth recommending, and the one that works is activated from a browser rather than the remote. Five minutes and one small purchase.

Before you start
- An Apple TV HD or 4K on tvOS 15 or later
- A phone or laptop to do the activation on
- Your Apollo server URL, username and password from the portal
Your server URL, username and password are on your subscription page in the portal, and in the email sent when the line was created. Copy them exactly — they are case-sensitive, and a trailing space pasted from an email is the most common reason a login is rejected. Open your subscription page.
Installing with IBO Player Pro
A paid one-off app. tvOS has no free Xtream player worth recommending, and this one is activated on the web rather than through the Siri Remote.
Open the App Store on the Apple TV
From the home screen, open the App Store.
Search for IBO Player Pro
Use the search tab and type Ibo Player Pro. Dictation with the remote is faster than the on-screen keyboard here.
Buy and install
Install it and open it once. It will display a MAC address and a Device Key and then wait.
Activate on iboplayer.com
On your phone or laptop go to iboplayer.com, enter the MAC and Device Key from the TV, then add your line as an Xtream account using the username, password and server URL from the portal.
Reopen the app
Close IBO Player Pro on the Apple TV and open it again. It picks up the line and loads the channels.
If the app still shows the activation screen
The MAC address shown on screen is the one it expects — not the one in tvOS Settings, which is different. Re-check the value you entered on the website against what the app is displaying, character by character.

Why is there a paid app involved?
tvOS has no free player that handles Xtream logins properly. IBO Player Pro is a one-off purchase from the App Store, unrelated to your subscription, and we do not receive any part of it.
Why does activation happen on a website?
So you never type a long server URL with the Siri Remote. The TV shows two short codes; everything else is entered on a phone or laptop.
It still shows the activation screen. Why?
The MAC address the app displays is the one to use — not the one in tvOS Settings, which is a different value. Re-check what you entered against what is on screen.
